The commercial irrigation controller rebate is for up to $50 per active zone, excluding taxes, shipping, and installation costs, up to $5000. Must be a new WaterSense-certified, weather-based, WIFI enabled irrigation controller. Call Water Resources at 720-977-6600 or email Water@ThorntonWater.com to check availability of funds.

The commercial irrigation efficiency project rebate program encourages custom irrigation system enhancements designed to save water and money. This rebate program is for non-residential Thornton water customers (for example, HOAs, schools, churches, businesses, and multi-family properties). The rebate is a 50% match, up to $10,000, subject to budget availability.
Project examples could include installation of hydrometers, master valves and replacement of inefficient irrigation system components. The building water efficiency project rebate program encourages custom indoor/building water fixture enhancements designed to save water and money. This rebate program is for non-residential Thornton water customers (for example, HOAs, schools, churches, businesses, and multi-family properties).
Project examples could include upgrading plumbing fixtures and appliances, construction of a reuse system, installation of new water-efficient technology, retrofitting a water intensive process, etc. The rebate is a 50% match, up to $10,000, subject to budget availability. The commercial rain sensor rebate is for up to $100.
Commercial Rain Sensor Rebate Information, Rules and Application
Rebate for tank type toilets is up to $75, flushometer and urinals is up to $150. If you are replacing more than 10 toilets, you must contact us to detail the replacement project and to obtain written pre-approval. Replacement toilets must be WaterSense certified. 1.6 gallon per flush and dual flush toilets do not qualify. For replacement of installed toilets only, not for new construction. Free sprinkler consultations and a personalized watering schedule are available to Thornton water customers through Resource Central.
Consultations help you:

Our goal is to incentivize water demand reduction on irrigated landscapes from 0.5 to 5 acres. Your project may qualify for a grant that offers 50 percent of the cost of design, renovation, and installation, up to $10,000 per acre. Funds are subject to availability and provided on a first-come, first-served basis. When you schedule a Commercial Water Efficiency Assessment, Water Resources staff will provide water usage data, a walk-through of your commercial facility, a water efficiency assessment of your site, and make recommendations on ways your business can be more water efficient and save money.
